Do you use AI to score applications?

No. Well, it depends on your definition of AI. We do not use Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyse your Portfolio against the Job Brief. We use the skills, financial, and cultural information provided by both sides to calculate an overlap and generate an initial recommendation as to whether an application is shortlisted or longlisted

All decisions are made by humans, Profolia makes recommendations.

How do you generate feedback for applications if posters don't provide any?

We take your Skill Portfolio, the Job Brief you applied to, and an aggregated summary of applicants who have progressed further to analyse differences; then we utilise LLMs to convert this into written feedback.

The feedback provided is informative not definitive, and is meant to help candidates understand what they can improve for future applications.

Is my Skill Portfolio visible to anyone, or only to companies I apply to?

You can control the visibility of your profile from you account settings at any time. When you respond to a job brief on Profolia an anonymised version of your application and Skill Portfolio is presented until you reach the "Screening" stage, at which point your full Skill Portfolio and contact information is visible to the poster.

How long does it take to build a Skill Portfolio?

You can get started with Profolia in as little as 5 minutes. The more you improve your Skill Portfolio the better, and this is up to you.

Is Profolia a Job Board?

No. We do not aggregate jobs from other places to try and increase our own importance. Beyond this Profolia works by aligning a candidate's Skill Portfolio and a Job Brief via skills, financial, and cultural information; we don't have that if we scrape other sites for jobs.

Is Profolia free for candidates?

Mostly. We don't charge users to create a Skill Portfolio or respond to Job Briefs. If you want to use our "reapply" or "longlist enrichment" there is a minor credit cost, however with the monthly credits you can do this 10 times a month without charge.

Can I export candidate/applicant data to other ATS/CRM tools?

We can't stop you from copying information across, however we advise you follow all relevant data protection legislation with any personal information you discover within Profolia. We bear no liability for any claims that may arise from such actions.

We may, in the future, build services to enable direct exporting of candidate data - so long as candidates give their express consent for doing so.

How is Profolia different from other professional platforms?

We are an independent platform whose mission is to help drive the evolution of hiring. We have no advertisers or shareholders to please, we want to make a positive change with the tools available - not add bloat to broken processes.

How much does it cost to post a job on Profolia?

Every live job brief you have on Profolia costs 2 Credits (or 20p) per day - with a day started at 00:00 UTC. When applicants apply you only see their skills, financial and cultural overlap until you move them to the shortlist, at which time you see an anonymised version of their Skill Portfolio. When you move a candidate to screening you see their full information at a cost of 10 credits per application.

We think this is much simpler than the Pay Per Click model that many platforms are using.

Meaning. For one job brief that is live for 30 days with 20 screened candidates it would cost:
30 x 2 Credits + 20 x 10 Credits = 260 Credits = £26 (or £21 if you haven't used your 50 included monthly credits)

There is no limit to the number of jobs you can have live at any time, and every job is easily discoverable by candidates using the skill search functionality.

Does Profolia have Application Tracking in built?

Yes. For both candidates and organisations at no additional cost.

Is Profolia a global platform?

Technically, yes. Our process has been designed and built for the UK market, but it can be used globally - any activity regardless of location is subject to the user's company's adherence to local laws and regulations, for which Profolia takes no responsibility.
